I think he's still around. Not sure. I am sure there was a time in American book cover art, as it is now to some extent, that many of these artists knew each other, openly copied each others styles and basically did their best with the tools they had.

Stunning work. I believe there is a Raskin/Bacon connection, the former having assisted the later. Do you know anything about him?
