First class each semester I hand the students a questionnaire. One of the questions asks the students to draw, from memory, the cover of their favorite book of all time. I superimpose the drawings over a photo of a blank book, then show them to the students the following class. There is an educational point to all this, but I have to admit, its partially for my own personal enjoyment.
To Kill a Mockingbird really works for me.
ReplyDeleteIs 'The Perfume' for Patrick Süskind's Perfume? Or is it another book? It's strange, I don't think I've ever seen it (or any other book) with that cover, but it looks like it would be really great. Nicely drawn too.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what version of Perfume that is. I get students from all over the world so who knows what edition they are familiar with.
ReplyDeleteTitle Which I Forgot with Pac Man is priceless.
ReplyDeletePretty sure that is Shel Silverstein's The Missing Piece.
ReplyDeleteHa! You're right and the actual cover pretty much look like that too!
